Joomla & WordPress
Joomla and WordPress are Open Source content management systems used by millions of websites around the World. Each provides a rich set of features and are used by a range of small, medium and large organisations.
We use Joomla, or, WordPress CMS systems to build our website and those of our clients. The system chosen depends on the specific project needs but either Joomla, or, WordPress will enable our clients to update their website content anytime.
What is Content Management?
Content Management is all about how copy, images, video and other features on a website are added, updated and removed. The power of a content management system like Joomla, or, WordPress is to enable changes to a website at any time from any internet enabled location.

- Easy Integration of YouTube and other video sources
- Easy to Manage Banner System (where needed)
- Integrated Social Media Links & social media sharing buttons
- ReCaptcha Protected Forms (contact and other as needed)
The Design Process
Below you will find a short description of the key stages we progress through as we seek to bring your needs and goals to life in a website that will represent you, as you require, on-line.
During each stage you will have the opportunity to provide feedback and the project progresses to the next stage after obtaining your approval. This ensures the site development moves forward postively and focused on creating a website you are confident represents your business.
1. Discussion
During this time we will discuss your responsive website design requirements with you as we get to know your business.
Your goals for the website will be documented as these directly affect how your responsive website is developed and information is presented to site visitors.
2. UX, UI
Your available content, newly created or from an existing website, will be reviewed to determine how to best present it within your new website design.
Wire-frame layouts will help determine the best arrangement of elements to ensure the most enjoyable experience for your website visitors.
3. Design
The initial wire-frames are fleshed out with graphics, replacing textual place holders like 'image here' and 'banner system' to give more substance to the website design.
Decisions are made regarding colour, images and typography to create a look and feel which is consistent with your brand.
4. Responsive Development
The coding of your website is completed to breathe life into those nicely drawn and coloured but otherwise lifeless graphics that have been designed.
Menus become active, content is added, banner systems cycle adverts and contact forms become usable. Coding continues until your responsive website is completed.
5. Delivery & Beyond
The final step is to test your website and put it on-line. This starts with a website function check; buttons take us to the correct place, the contact form delivers emails to the right address, animations work as planned and copy is reviewed.
The day arrives and your new responsive website goes live to the world. The site is submitted to selected search engines and everything is checked again before celebrating a successful website launch.
Planning now turns to maintenance. You may want to style the website at seasonal times, update the blog with new articles and amend existing site pages, reach out via email newsletters to existing clients, or, engage social media streams to increase brand, product, or, service awareness.
Maintenance also includes ensuring available critical and routine updates to the Joomla system and any features are installed to minimise risk from internet threats.
You could set aside time to complete all of the above yourself; Joomla's admin system will certainly make many of these tasks possible. Alternatively, use one of our maintenance plans to provide peace of mind, knowing you have regular assistance from us at a known cost and enabling you to focus on your core business.
We are always available to help you get the most from your website and work with you to maintain and update it as needed. A call, or, an email is all it takes to get things moving.
